The cleansing of the van was the first priority to get initiated on, especially with the van being manufactured since 1998. As well as being 23 years old, it has been pre-owned and used to get where it is now.
First we started by taking the seats out which needed a torx 55 bit for the bolts, and we then brought them into our teachers classroom for new sleeping locations. After the seats were removed the seatbelts which were also in the way of the paneling and the flooring were required to be extracted. Flooring was next with old insolation, also keeping the rubber matting for a tracing option for new flooring. Next was interior paneling to show show the beautifully slightly rusted framing. Then we used a shop-vac and broom picking up the leftovers along the bottom.

The next week we got started with cutting seatbelts, when doing so someone had cut the front seatbelts as well. This meaning we have to buy new ones and install them later in the process of building when they arrive. Ensuing that we had then taken out the roofing and the electrical toward the a/c. then after all of the main disassembling we moved back into sweeping and vacuuming again. Then moving onto the pricing, calculating, supplies, and materials needed for flooring.
After calculating, pricing, and gathering supplies and materials needed for flooring. We then got initiated on flooring. Tracing the foam with the rubber matting that we had dismantled from the van.
Then moving onto the rear A/C removal, and the front A/C blower replacement having an autoworks remove it for us for $700. It had been out for repair for 2 1/2 weeks because of parts and shipping issues. When the van had been returned back to us from the auto-shop we worked on extraction of the A/C unit ourselves, the removal and cutting out of the rear A/C lines. When we cut the AC lines, antifreeze started leaking out and pouring onto our parking lot. We tried to stop the leak and drained it into a 5-gallon bucket. We called the shop and they towed the van back to their auto-shop to have certain A/C unit properties finished correctly and the rear brakes fixed as well. The van just got returned to us today way behind schedule.
